Guinean Model/Activist Found Dead

This is a sad story. Katoucha Niane, who modeled with Yves Saint Laurent, was found floating in the Seine River in Paris. It seems to have been an accident. Born in Conakry, Guinea, she was also known for bringing international attention to FGM (Female Genital Mutulation), herself a victim of the horrible practice at the age of 9.
